As a child growing up in Argentina under the shadow of a brutal military dictatorship, Carolina Lopez Saglietti experienced a reality that most would find unimaginable. Her father, a compassionate doctor devoted to serving impoverished communities, was arrested and tortured for his humanitarian efforts. At just six years old, Carolina lived in a world where safety was fleeting, and fear was ever-present. Her family was forced to move constantly, seeking refuge wherever they could find it.
Carolina vividly recalls the moments of uncertainty: the hurried packing of belongings, the sight of her mother gathering what little they could carry, and the ever-present sense of danger. Amid this chaos, her mother became a pillar of strength, tirelessly working to ensure her children’s safety and education.
“My mother kept us safe and educated even when everything around us was unstable,” Carolina reflects. “Her strength and resilience taught me that even in the darkest times, there is always a way forward.”
Eventually, with the intervention of the United Nations, her father was released, and the family relocated to the United States as refugees. The transition to a new country was far from easy, but it planted the seeds of resilience and adaptability in Carolina. These qualities would later become the foundation of her entrepreneurial journey and her mission to empower others.
Building a Legacy for Future Generations
Motherhood marked a transformative new chapter in Carolina’s life, redefining her purpose and mission. As she gazed into the eyes of her two young daughters, Carolina was struck by a profound sense of purpose—a desire to guide them toward becoming their strongest, most confident selves. Drawing on the resilience and courage she had seen in her own mother, she understood that teaching them determination, perseverance, and self-belief would be the greatest legacy she could offer. This realization ignited her groundbreaking work in mindset education for children.
Her first children’s book, Sliding on a Rainbow, was a labor of love, designed to teach kids the tools of visualization, positive affirmations, and mindfulness. The book’s success—selling out its initial print run of 4,000 copies—affirmed the need for such resources. Carolina followed it with The Magical Activity Book and The Secrets to Becoming a Superhero, each building on the lessons of resilience and self-belief.
These books laid the foundation for her Superhero Programs, an initiative that has reached schools across the U.S., Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, and beyond. These programs are helping children build qualities like adaptability, confidence, and compassion—skills that will serve them throughout their lives and empower them to create a better world.
“When we invest in children, we’re not just shaping their lives,” Carolina explains. “We’re creating a ripple effect that impacts families, communities, and future generations.”
Through her Coach to the Kids Certification Program, Carolina has extended her impact even further. By training educators to teach mindset tools, she ensures that her work reaches classrooms worldwide.
